Integrated Wireless SoC for Audio-Video Terminals

TXW828 is a low-power, high-performance, highly integrated audio-video wireless SoC chip. Internally integrating 2.4GHz Wi-Fi+BLE, high-performance ISP image processing, and H.264/MJPEG encoding/decoding, it features excellent RF performance, superior image processing capabilities, coding quality, and low bitrates. Additionally, it integrates a security algorithm acceleration engine and offers comprehensive peripheral interfaces: Audio ADC/DAC, MIPI CSI, MIPI DSI, DVP, LCD, RMII MAC, USB2.0 High Speed Host/Device, SDMMC Host, IIS, PDM, and other rich peripheral interfaces. 

TXW828 supports running programs on SPI Flash. It supports RTOS and third-party components, and provides an open and easy-to-use development and debugging environment. 

TXW828 provides mainstream packaging formats including QFN68 and QFN80, supporting built-in PSRAM.

The TXW828 series is designed as a low-power, high-performance, highly integrated wireless audio-video SoC. It integrates 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, BLE, SLE, a high-performance ISP, H.264/MJPEG codec capability, security acceleration, and rich peripheral interfaces for multi-camera IPCs, cameras, recorders, doorbells, smart locks, baby monitors, walkie-talkies, and display-enabled wireless audio-video products.

Complete wireless connectivity with flexible network modes

The chip supports IEEE 802.11 b/g/n with a 1T1R architecture, 5/10/20/40 MHz bandwidth, and Wi-Fi data rates up to 150 Mbps. Built-in PA, LNA, and RF switch resources support STA, AP, AP+STA relay, STA+STA, and other modes, with WPA/WPA2/WPA3 security. BLE fast provisioning and Wi-Fi/BLE PTA coexistence are also supported.

Image processing and codec capability for video products

The TXW828 series supports H.264 encoding and decoding up to 1920×1080@30fps, as well as MJPEG codec capability. The ISP supports up to 1920×1080@30fps with dual-channel time-division reuse, 3A, 2D/3D noise reduction, bad pixel correction, lens shading correction, image enhancement, and motion detection for camera, IPC, doorbell, and smart-lock video capture and transmission scenarios.

Dual-core RISC architecture for control and media workloads

The chip integrates one XuanTie E804FD processor and one XuanTie E804D processor with a maximum frequency of 240 MHz. It supports a RISC architecture, 32-bit data, mixed 16/32-bit instructions, DSP instructions, a single-cycle hardware multiplier, and vector interrupt control. CPU0 also supports single-precision floating-point operations, making the platform suitable for wireless protocol, audio-video, peripheral control, and system scheduling tasks.

The TXW828 series integrates MIPI CSI, MIPI DSI, DVP, LCD, USB 2.0 High Speed Host/Device, RMII MAC, SDMMC Host, IIS, PDM, Audio ADC/DAC, and other interfaces. It supports execution from SPI Flash, RTOS and third-party components, and development/debug tooling. E08FL integrates 8 MB PSRAM, while E016FL integrates 16 MB PSRAM for different cost and performance tiers.
