Product Overview

TXW818 is a low-power, high-performance, highly integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi + Sub-GHz multi-mode IoT SOC chip, integrating IEEE 802.11 b/g/n baseband and RF (Radio Frequency) circuits, including Power Amplifier (PA), Low Noise Amplifier (LNA), RF balun, antenna switch, and power management module, etc. 

    The TXW818 Wi-Fi baseband implements Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) technology, and is backward compatible with Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DSSS) and Complementary Code Keying (CCK) technologies, supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n protocols. It supports 20MHz standard bandwidth and 5MHz/10MHz narrow bandwidth, providing a maximum physical layer rate of 72.2Mbit/s. 

    The TXW818 chip integrates a high-performance 32-bit microprocessor, with built-in MJPEG (supporting VGA/720P), providing rich peripheral interfaces such as DVP, LCD, USB2.0 High Speed Host/Device, SDMMC Host, SDIO2.0 Slave, RMII MAC, SPI Master & Device, UART, IIC, IIS, PDM, IR Send/Receive, PWM, GPIO, and ADC/DAC. It supports running programs on SPI Flash. It supports RTOS and third-party components, and comes with an open and easy-to-use development and debugging environment. 

    The TXW818 series includes multiple models, offering the mainstream QFN68 package form; depending on the package form, the peripheral resource configuration within the device varies; some packages support built-in PSRAM and Flash.

Supporting IEEE 802.11 b/g/n with a 1T1R architecture, TXW818 reaches a PHY rate of up to 72.2Mbps. It supports STA, AP, AP+STA relay, STA+STA, and WPA/WPA2/WPA3 encryption for flexible and secure connections.

TXW818 supports DVP, UVC, and SPI camera inputs. It integrates one MJPEG encoder and one MJPEG codec, supports up to 1920×1080@30fps, and provides timestamp, color frame, motion detection, and optical flow hardware acceleration.

The chip integrates one delta-sigma Audio ADC and one Audio DAC. It supports single-ended and differential analog MIC input, built-in PGA, 8KHz to 48KHz sample rates, howling suppression, G711 A-law codec, and VAD voice detection.

TXW818 integrates an LCD display controller supporting RGB, MCU8080, and MCU6800 panel interfaces. It supports image scaling, rotation, mirroring, OSD, Alpha Blending, Gamma correction, saturation and contrast adjustment, with RGB display output up to 1280×720@50fps.

TXW818 uses a QFN68 7×7 package, provides up to 47 GPIOs, integrates Buck DC-DC power management, and supports LP/ULP low-power modes. It also provides USB2.0 HS Host/Device, SDIO, SD Host, RMII MAC, SPI, IIC, UART, I2S, PDM, PWM, and other interfaces for complex audio/video display products.
